Things you may not know about Sally
I grew up in Colorado and Missouri, but now I'm a diehard Texan (without boots, cattle or oil wells.)
After graduating from the University of Missouri, I taught physically handicapped children.
My 15 minutes of fame came when I was the two-millionth person to go to the top of the St. Louis Arch.
I rode on the Goodyear blimp when I was 8 months pregnant. (The blimp and I were roughly the same shape.)
I started writing as a stay-at-home mom because it sounded like fun (true) and it would make me rich and famous (definitely false!)
One of my early stories was a runner-up in the Highlights for Children humor contest.
I have two grown children and five precious grandchildren.
I live with one smart husband and one dumb cat.
I love to travel, especially when mountians are involved. I have hiked in Switzerland, New Zealand, Peru, Patagonia, Iceland, Canada and the U.S. I recently returned from Africa where I almost had a hippo in my tent.
